Farrell Named DII Faceoff Player of the Year; Seven from ECC Named USILA All-Americans

Louisville, Ky. - LIU Post senior Connor Farrell has been named the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Faceoff Player of the Year. Farrell and six others from the East Coast Conference have also been named All-Americans by the USILA.

Farrell, who also claimed a spot on the All-American First Team, had a record-breaking senior campaign for the Pioneers. He set three Division II single-season records with 268 ground balls, 16.75 ground balls per game, and an 81.4 percent faceoff win percentage. Farrell also put his name in the single-game records with 30 ground balls in an upset over then No. 1 Merrimack.

ECC Offensive Player of the Year, Mercy's Ryan MacSpadyen, joins Farrell as a First Team All-American. MacSpadyen was the leading scorer in the ECC with 82 points on 43 goals and 39 assists.

ECC major award winners, Max Littleton of Mercy and Ryan Mello of St. Thomas Aquinas, were Second Team honorees. Littleton led the ECC with 35 caused turnovers on the year while Mello led the ECC and ranked third nationally with a .635 save percentage.

Mercy's Bobby Chillianis and Ryan Gibbons and LIU Post's William Snelders round out the ECC's representation with a spot on the Honorable Mention list.
