Five From ECC Earn USILA All-America Honors

Perry, N.Y. - Five men's lacrosse standouts from the East Coast Conference have been named All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

Ryan MacSpadyen of Mercy and Ian Prate of NYIT were both Second Team selections. MacSpadyen earns his first-ever All-America selection. The First Team All-Conference pick led the Mavericks with 54 points on 36 goals and 18 assists.

Prate is an All-American for the second straight season. A two-time ECC Defensive Player of the Year, Prate finished with 64 ground balls and an ECC-high 31 caused turnovers on the season.

LeRoy Halftown and Andrew Zito give NYIT three All-Americans with their Third Team selections. Halftown was the ECC Offensive Player of the Year after tallying 52 goals and 18 assists for 70 points on the season.

Zito finished with 30 goals, including the overtime game-winner in the final of the ECC Championship, and also added 16 assists for 46 points.

The final All-America honoree from the ECC is Mercy's Max Littleton, who claimed a spot on the Honorable Mention list. Littleton, an All-Conference First Team selection, tied Prate for the ECC lead with 31 caused turnovers and also scooped up 43 ground balls on the season.
