LIU Post's Jez to Serve as General Manager of USA U-19 National Team

Brookville, N.Y. - LIU Post Head Men's Lacrosse Coach John Jez has recently been appointed as the general manager of the 2016 United States Under-19 Men's Lacrosse National Team, it was announced by U.S. Lacrosse.

The U.S. Under-19 Men's National Team will aim for its eighth-consecutive gold medal, when it competes at the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships from Jul. 7-16 in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada.

Since the World Championships were founded in 1988, the Americans boast a record of 41-2 in international play, translating to a scintillating .953 winning percentage.

It is the fifth time that Jez will be working with the U.S. Under-19 Men's National Team. He previously held stints as assistant general manager and equipment manager.

"It is a great honor to be offered this position with the U.S. National Team," said Jez. "I am eager to get started and look forward to upholding the outstanding tradition of our nation's men's lacrosse program."
