Perry, N.Y. - NYIT junior goalkeeper Alex Seltzer has been named the USILA/Lids Team Sports Division II Defensive Player of the Week.
Seltzer, also the ECC Defensive Player of the Week, earns the honor after picking up 14 saves in an 8-3 win over Bentley University. Seltzer allowed just three goals in the win for an 82.4 save percentage.
This is the second straight week an ECC student-athlete has taken home the USILA/Lids Team Sports Defensive Player of the Week honor. Dowling's Frank Gluchowski earned the award a week ago.
Seltzer also wins the award for the second time in his career, also doing so on February 26, 2015.
