Three ECC Schools Ranked in Latest USILA Poll

Perry, N.Y. – Three East Coast Conference men's lacrosse squads were listed in the latest USILA Coaches Poll, released on Monday afternoon.

Dowling is the first school listed at No. 5. The defending National Champions fell from their preseason perch atop the poll after dropping their season opener by a score of 10-7 to Limestone in a rematch of last year's NCAA title game.

Next up at No. 6 is NYIT. The Bears opened up their season in style, posting a one goal, 12-11, win over former conference rival and then No. 6 Seton Hill. The win moved the Bears up two spots in the poll.

After a down season in 2012, the LIU Post Pioneers are off to a fast start in 2013. With a 3-0 record to begin this spring's campaign, the Pioneers have moved up to the No. 9 position in the poll. LIU Post has defeated Queens, N.C. (10-6), Coker (14-5), and Saint Rose (15-6) thus far.

Chestnut Hill falls out of the rankings after a 16-3 blowout loss to No. 2 LeMoyne to kick off the season. However the Griffins, along with Molloy College who opened their season with a 20-8 victory over American International, are listed among those receiving votes in the poll.
