Fourteen men’s lacross student-athletes from the East
Coast Conference have been selected as All-Americans by the United
States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
Eight players earned First Team status while three were named to
both the Second and Honorable Mention Teams . National Championship
game participant, Dowling, tied with NYIT for the most selections
with four apiece. Mercyhurst had three players selected, Seton Hill
had two, and C.W. Post rounds out the ECC representation with one
player.
Players named to the First Team include; Matt Delmonico (A, Seton
Hill), Brian Scheetz (A, Mercyhurst), James Delany (M, Seton Hill),
Jason Smith (M, NYIT), Greg Bensman (LSM, Mercyhurst), Danny
McDermott (D, NYIT), Andrew Wagner (D, Mercyhurst), and Billy McGee
(GK, NYIT).
