Oakdale, N.Y. - Men's Lacrosse head coach Tim Boyle has been named the 2010 Division II Coach of the Year by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). This marks the second time Boyle has received the prestigious honor in his collegiate coaching career, earning the recognition in 2006 after leading his team to the NCAA Division II National Championship Final.
The Golden Lions finished up the 2010 regular season with a 12-1 record, going on an unprecedented 11-0 run from March 13th-May 8th, including a win over No. 1 ranked C.W. Post University on April 10th. Boyle's leadership would earn the team their second NCAA postseason selection in program history.
Boyle, who has compiled a 90-43 record over 10 years at Dowling, will be recognized for his achievements on December 3rd of this year at the USILA Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD.
