Five in USILA Poll for Third Straight Week

Five ECC schools have been listed in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s NCAA Division II national rankings for the third week in a row.

The same five schools from last week’s rankings once again made the list, but once again in different spots on the poll.

C.W. Post bounced back from their first defeat of the season at the hands of conference foe Dowling by defeating NYIT 9-5. The Pioneers now hold a 10-1 record on the year and move to No. 3 in this week’s rankings.

Following up the Pioneers is Mercyhurst at No.4. The Lakers improved to 7-1 on the year with a 16-8 victory over Dowling. C.W. Post and Mercyhurst will meet in a pivotal ECC battle this Saturday at C.W. Post.
Next up in the rankings is Dowling. The Golden Lions fall two spots to No. 5 after the defeat to Mercyhurst.

Mercy continues the run off ECC members in the poll, coming in at No. 6. The Mavericks are now 8-1 on the year after getting by Lake Erie, 12-9.

Rounding out the ECC members on the poll is NYIT, who remains in eighth place despite dropping to 4-3 with the loss to C.W. Post.

Limestone remains in the No. 1 spot in the poll as the only undefeated team left in Division II with a 10-0 record.
