Central Islip, N.Y. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced its selections for the Division II All-America teams and East Coast Conference teams earned 18 of the 36 selections.
NCAA Division II Finalist C.W. Post led all institutions with nine total picks while Dowling followed with three selections. New York Institute of Technology, Mercyhurst and Molloy each placed two on the teams.
East Coast Conference Player of the Year Greg Cerar (ATT, C.W. Post) was joined by Keith Henderson (ATT, NYIT), Matt Dimler (MID, C.W. Post), Keith Galante (MID, Molloy), Matt Messina (MID, NYIT), Joe Biondolillo (LSM, Dowling), Bryan Leonard (DEF,C. W. Post) and Michael Cama (Specialist, C. W. Post) on the First Team.
Second Team selections included: David Loftus (ATT, C. W. Post),
Albert Maione (MID, Molloy), Joseph Blount (LSM, C. W. Post), Kyle
Rubisch (DEF, Dowling), Matthew Spahr (DEF, Mercyhurst), Dan
Sciulla (GK, C. W. Post) and ECC Goalkeeper of the Year Jason
LaShomb (Mercyhurst).
John McClure (ATT, Dowling), Mike Messina (MID,C. W. Post) and
Jonathon Kology (DEF, C. W. Post) round out the selections,
garnering Honorable Mention honors.
