Central Islip, NY - Senior attackman Greg Cerar (C.W. Post) has been voted the 2009 East Coast Conference Player of the Year. Mercyhurst senior goalkeeper, Jason LaShomb, has been tabbed the Goalkeeper of the Year and Molloy's first-year attackman, Ryan Kudlek earns Rookie of the Year honors.
Cerar currently leads the nation with 5.43 points per game. The three-time All-Conference recipient scored 42 goals, including seven up tallies, and dished out 34 assists on the season. In addition, Cerar led the conference with three down goals this season help his team to a 13-1 record.
LaShomb posted an 11-3 record between the pipes for the Lakers. He boasts an impressive 6.5 goals against average while averaging 8.57 stops per game. LaShomb tallied 10 or more saves in seven games and make a season-high 14 saves twice this year.
Kudlek shared the top spot on the Lions' charts tallying 25 goals this season. He dished out seven assists for a total of 32 points on the season and pitched in with 21 ground balls.
The 2009 ECC Coach of the Year was awarded to John Jez of C.W. Post. Jez led his team to a 13-1 overall record, going 6-0 record in conference play to clinch the ECC title. His No. 2 nationally-ranked Pioneers have secured a bid to the 2009 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships, which will be their first appearance since 2005.

Post) and Jason LaShomb (Sr., GK, Mercyhurst).
