NYIT's Hennessy Earns Division II Men’s Lacrosse Top Awards; Hennessy and Scuderi Named USILA All-Americans

Just two weeks after being named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Player of the Y ear and leading NYIT to the Division II NCAA men's lacrosse semi-finals, sophomore Kevin Hennessy (West Babylon, N.Y.) earned top honors in Division II men's lacrosse. Hennessy was awarded the Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award as the Outstanding Player in Division II, the LT. Donald McLaughlin Jr. Award as the top midfielder in Division II, and United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) First Team All-American honors. Hennessy led the Bears to a 10-2 record, recording a team high 50 points on 28 goals and 22 assists.

Freshman defender Chris Scuderi (West Islip, N.Y.), was impressive during his rookie season, earning USILA Second Team All-American honors, ECC First Team All-Conference honors and was the only defenseman during the season to earn ECC Rookie of the Week honors.
