STAC's Reyes Named to Multiple All-America Teams

St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball standout, Justin Reyes, has been named to three different All-America squads after closing out his career in Sparkill with another outstanding season.

Reyes, the East Coast Conference's Player of the Year for the third straight season, has been named to the National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC), Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA), and Division II Bulletin All-America Teams. He was a First Team selection for the D2CCA and Division II Bulletin, while the NABC lists 16 student-athletes without designating each to a First, Second, or Third Team.

Reyes finished the year with averages of 22.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game. He finished in the top 25 in Division II in scoring and rebounding, while finishing seventh with 17 double-doubles on the season.

In a season where he won his third straight ECC Player of the Year honor and led St. Thomas Aquinas to a third straight ECC title and NCAA Championship appearance, Reyes also etched his name into the conference's record books.

He set new conference records for points (2,247) and field goals made (825) and became the first men's basketball player in ECC history to reach 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career. He finished his career in the league's top-10 all time in rebounds (2nd - 1,144), blocks (9th - 170), steals (10th - 220), and free throws made (4th - 553), as well.
