Brookville, N.Y. - The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team advanced to the finals of the 2015 East Coast Conference Championship with a 93-75 victory over the sixth-seeded Dowling College Golden Lions.  The number-two seed Purple Knights will now face the number-one St, Thomas Aquinas College Spartans in Sunday's ECC Final at 2:30 p.m. with an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament on the line.

With the win, Bridgeport is now 23-6 overall, and the Purple Knights have won eight in a row and 10 of their last 11 games heading into Sunday's ECC Final.  Sunday will be Bridgeport's seventh straight trip to the ECC Men's Basketball Final, and the Purple Knights are looking for their third straight conference crown.

Williams also had six assists and four blocked shots on the night.

Junior Ernest Rouse (Freeport, N.Y.) rounded out the UB quartet in double-digits with 14 points.
