Albany, N.Y. - East Coast Conference men's basketball standouts Vaughn Allen of LIU Post and John Petrucelli of Molloy have been named to the 2014 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-East Region Second Team. This is the first Daktronics All-Region selections in both standouts' careers.

Allen, a senior forward for LIU Post, wrapped up his career with 16.6 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game averages. The three-time All-Conference selection led the ECC with 125 offensive rebounds and also shot 50.2 from the field. Allen became LIU Post's all-time leading rebounder, finishing with 904 for his career.

Petrucelli, the ECC Player of the Year, led the conference in scoring with a 23.1 points per game average. His point total on the season also pushed him over 2,000 for his career, making him the first player in Molloy's history to top that number. Petrucelli was also a pest on the defensive end of the court, leading all of Division II with 3.6 steals per game.

CACC Player of the Year, Garret Kerr from University of the Sciences, was named the Daktronics East Region Player of the Year.
