NEW YORK --- Five East Coast Conference Men’s Basketball players were named to the 2009-10 All-Met Division II Men’s Basketball teams released on April 14.

All-Met first team: Gage Daye, Bloomfield; Brian Hutchinson, Molloy; Devon Young, Felician; Richard Byrd, Adelphi; Khaleef Allicott, Queens; Casey Cosgrove, Adelphi.

Named to the second team: Aaron Hall, C.W. Post; Antoine Obery, Felician; Nemanja Jokic, C.W. Post; Leon Porter, Dominican; David Seagers, Dowling.

Gage Daye of Bloomfield was named the 2009-10 All-Met Division II men’s college basketball player of the year Wednesday by the National Invitation Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Assn.

David DeFerrari of Felician was selected coach of the year.

The All-Met awards will be presented Wednesday evening, April 21, at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, N.Y.
