Allicott Earns Daktronics All-Region Honors
Albany, N.Y. - Knights guard Khaleef Allicott was one of five players named today to the 2009-2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Basketball East All-Region first team. Allicott is the ECC's lone representative on either the first or second teams.

The All-Region team is voted on by Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) from the East Region.

Allicott accomplished what only one other Knight - Bradd Wierzbicki - has done when he was recently named the 2010 East Coast Conference Player of the Year. He finished his season second among the ECC leaders with 16.8 points per-game, third with 2.1 steals per outing, and ninth with a 2.7 assists per game average. He also pulled down 5.2 rebounds per game this past season, second best on the club. One of only nine players in school history to register 1,500 points, Allicott closed out his stellar career as the program’s seventh all-time leading scorer with 1,583 points. Khaleef scored in double digits in all but three games in 2009-10, and tossed in 20 or more points on 12 occasions. This includes a career high 33 point effort in a 73-70 win over Dowling College on January 27th in Fitzgerald Gymnasium.
