Staten Island, N.Y. - Juniors Anna Ahlquist (Henrietta, N.Y.) of Roberts Wesleyan and Nolan Mazako of Post (Oxford, Conn.) were honored as the recipients of the East Coast Conference Elite 19 Award at Saturday's ECC Indoor Track & Field Championship. The ECC Elite 19 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 19 championships.
A junior Math and Music major, Ahlquist holds a 3.964 GPA. A pole vaulter, Ahlquist came in fourth place after clearing 2.90m to earn a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.
Mazako, a Finance/Accounting major with a 3.96 GPA, also earned Second Team All-Conference honors after helping the Eagles to a second-place finish in the 4x400m relay in a time of 3:23.97.
