Staten Island, N.Y. - Roberts Wesleyan sophomore Katie Bellomo (Hudson, N.H.) and Molloy senior Brian Michels (Patchogue, N.Y.) were honored as the recipients of the East Coast Conference Elite 19 Award in the sports of men's and women's indoor track & field at Saturday's ECC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The ECC Elite 19 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 19 championships.

Bellomo is a nursing major with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She helped the Redhawks to a runner-up finish at this year's championship with a second place finish in the 5000m (19:51.41). Her finish also earned her a spot on the All-Conference First Team.

Michels, accounting major who carries a 3.98 GPA, won the award for the second consecutive year. At Saturday's championship, Michels earned All-Conference honors with a third place finish in the 1000m run (2:35.92) and a second place showing in the mile (4:26.25).
