ECC Announces First-Ever League of Legends All-Conference Honorees

West Babylon, N.Y. - The East Coast Conference announced its first-ever League of Legends All-Conference awards on Saturday afternoon. The awards were given out prior to the start of the conference's League of Legends Championship. Southern New Hampshire's Connor Lefevra and John Stillman, and Molloy's Ryan Mott took home the league's top honors, while three NYIT standouts earned Second Team status.

Lefevra claimed the Attacker of the Year honor. Lefevra was consistent through the season, earning the Most Kills, Highest Gold Per Minute, and Highest CS Per Minute superlatives in the regular season.  His personal skill elevated the rest of the team by providing them with a goal to strive towards and allowed the team to make picks and bans in other parts of the map because he is capable of handling any situation. He led not only in-game but during most of the team’s strategy sessions and replay review classroom sessions, acting as both player and analyst.  His knowledge of the game is immense, and he translated that to his play and shot-calling.

Stillman was honored as the Support of the Year. Stillman earned superlatives in the regular season for Most Wards Placed, Most Assists, and is third in the Top Player KDA ranking. In addition to his high level of game play, he scheduled scrimmages and acted as the team’s main source of motivation. Each week he produced scouting reports so that the team would be as prepared as possible, utilizing an incredible amount of data analysis to inform team decisions.  His focus on lifting the other members of the team up makes him the ultimate support, on and off the rift.

Mott wraps up the major award winners by winning the Defender of the Year. Mott ("Zingblob") was a two time ECC Defender of the Week recipient. In week one against Daemen College, he recorded a KDAratio of 4/5/19 and took 105,000 damage. The damage total was the most taken by a Defender of the Week all season. He was also the only Defender of the Week to walk away with no deaths to his name. Mott consistently showed a  persistent effort to make the plays for Molloy every week with every engage champion he played. He was a shot-caller for the team throughout the season, and came up with strategic plays.

The last award was the Coach of the Year honor which went to NYIT's Gabriel Loayza, who earned the honor when the Cybears won the ECC League of Legends Championship.
