Adelphi's Head Baseball Coach Dom Scala Set To Release Book

Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University head baseball coach Dom Scala is set to release his first book, One-on-One Baseball, Fundamentals Made Simple For Players and Coaches, on March 25. Scala will also be holding a book signing in late March on Adelphi's Garden City, New York campus.

The book talks about how Scala was introduced to baseball by his father, while growing up. It also outlines the road that coach Scala traveled to achieve success playing and coaching baseball. The bulk of the book will explain how Scala's baseball camps at One-on-One Baseball have influenced and helped to develop the baseball skills of thousands of young players through the years.

The book features drills, tips and comments from baseball greats Goose Gossage , John Franco, Bucky Dent, Lee Mazzilli and others. There are also illustrated pictures inside the book to make learning simple and easy for young players and coaches.

Scala is entering his sixth year as head coach at Adelphi University and has compiled an overall record of 125-106. The Panthers have made the ECC tournament in every year that Scala has been on the bench and have made two NCAA Division II East Regional appearances. In addition Scala has guided a handful of Panthers to the pros including 2008 third round pick Bobby Lanigan.
