NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Senior
Tamas Nagy converted a penalty kick in the 65
th minute as the Roberts Wesleyan University men's soccer team rallied for a 1-1 draw with Walsh University on Saturday afternoon.
Walsh took a lead in the 55
th minute, but Roberts (0-1-1) finished strong.
"We started slow in the first half, but created many chances in the second," Roberts head coach Scott Reber said. "We missed a couple of open nets at the end and had one just go wide, so while we are disappointed with not getting the win, we can certainly take many things from this game and continue to build on them."
Junior keeper
Caleb DaSilva made seven saves for the Redhawks, who have eight new players in their lineup this fall.
Roberts hosts Saint Michael's College in its home opener at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
