STAC Women's Lacrosse Falls at Assumption, 18-2

Worcester, Mass. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team dropped an 18-2 road decision to Assumption University, in a non-conference matchup on Thursday evening at Brian Kelly Stadium. 

STAC (1-6) recorded 11 shots, five ground balls, and 13 draw controls in the match. Senior goalkeeper Colleen Stevens (L,1-6) made four saves.

Freshman Arianna Tribble tallied both Spartans goals in the contest, with each coming in the late stages of the fourth quarter.

Olivia Catanzarite picked up three goals for Assumption (4-1), who led, 14-0 at halftime. Teammates Claire Desilva, Grace Chicko, Mallory Bartlett, Kyle Johnson and Katelynn Johnston scored two goals apiece, while Jenna Joseph, Molly Weiand, Gwen Enright, Elizabeth Tighe and Isabella Jackson put shots of their own to the back of the cage.

Junior McKenzie Schlechtweg picked up two ground balls for the maroon and gold, while freshmen Rachael Paraskos and Arianna Tribble won five draw controls each.

STAC next returns to action on Saturday, March 18 (2:30 p.m.) against Molloy University at Spartan Field in Sparkill.
