Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy men's soccer team dropped a non-conference matchup to the East Stroudsburg Warriors, 4-0, Sunday evening at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions move to 1-1 while the Warriors improve to 2-0.
 
How It Happened

• 48 seconds into the contest, freshman Harvey Chahal headed a shot towards the goal, but sent it high.
• Three minutes later following a foul on Molloy in the box, ESU's Colby Raymond netted a penalty kick to put the Warriors ahead, 1-0.
• The 21^st minute saw the road team extend its lead to 2-0, following a goal off a rebound from a shot that hit the crossbar.
• The Warriors continued to put pressure on the back line of the Lions two minutes later, but graduate student Dennis Mejia denied the opportunity to keep the contest at 2-0 heading into halftime.
• East Stroudsburg continued its high-pressure offense in the second half, netting a goal in the 58^th minute to pull ahead, 3-0.
• Molloy recorded its first shot on goal in the 63^rd minute, senior Andy Blanco fired a shot from 20 yards out that was saved by ESU goalkeeper Brayden Evans.
• Five minutes later, the Warriors capped the evening with its fourth goal of the contest.
• The Lions had a chance to crack the scoreboard in the 82^nd minute, when they drew a penalty in the box to set up a penalty kick, but they could not convert as ESU would end the game victorious, 4-0.

• Chahal, Blanco, graduate student Jonas Jacobsen, junior Diogo Ferreira, and freshman Eduardo Marroquin recorded one shot each.
• In goal, graduate student Dennis Mejia made two saves.
• Sophomore John Takach saw his first action of his collegiate career, loggin 17:17 of time while making one save.
