Scouting UDC 

The Firebirds are 5-4 heading into this conference match up. UDC fell to STAC in their last game , with Tori Williams and Shanell Haskins leading the way with 14 and 12 points. Williams also pulled down a team high nine rebounds. Latavia Jackson was named the Player of the week and currently leads the conference averaging 17.1 and Destiny Ryles is second with 16.2 PPG. Ryles also leads the conference in steals and is third in assists per game. UDC is currently 10-10 on the season. They currently average 67.2 PPG and hold their opponenets to 63.9 PPG. They opened up conference play defeating preseason favorites St Thomas Aquinas College 68-58 at the end of November. UDC entered the 2022-23 season voted to place third in the ECC preseason poll. They finished 13-15 last season and had their first post season appearance in the conference since 2016. This marked the first under head coach John Nakpodia. 

Scouting Mercy

The Mavericks are currently sitting in first place in the conference with a 7-2 record, winning their last eight games. Katie Wall is ranked fourth in the conference with 13.7 PPG and was voted the preseason player of the game. The Mavericks are currently 13-6 on the season averaging 55.9 PPG and allow 56.5 PPG for their opponents. Mercy was voted to finish fourth in the ECC preseason poll after finishing 11-16, 9-9 in the ECC last season.
