BUFFALO - D'Youville University's men's soccer team hosted Lock Haven University at Dobson Field Saturday afternoon, falling to the Bald Eagles by a score of 7-1.
The Saints had an early scoring opportunity in the sixth minute when freshman
Ethan Robinson put a shot on goal, but it was saved by Lock Haven's goalkeeper. Robinson got another shot off in the 26th minute, but it missed out right. The Saints went into halftime trailing 4-0.
In the 83rd minute, Robinson got DYU on the board with the first goal of his collegiate career on a beautiful header, with the assist coming from freshman
Finn Savage (Wrexham, Wales). The Saints saw one more scoring opportunity when freshman
Ashkan Sadri got off a shot that missed wide right. Freshman goalkeeper
Jake Marks (London, England) played the full 90 minutes in net for the Saints, recording 14 saves.
DYU will be back in action Wednesday, Sept. 13th, at 7:00 p.m. when they travel to Roberts Wesleyan for their conference opener.
