West Haven, Conn.-It was a tough night on the road for the University of Bridgeport women's basketball team on Saturday, as the Purple Knights fell to the host University of New Haven Chargers, 55-42. UB is now 0-3 on the season; while UNH moves to 2-0.
As a team, UB shot only 28.3 percent from the floor (15 of 53) and committed a total of 25 turnovers.
Junior Alyzae Davis (Bronx, N.Y.) led the Purple Knights in scoring with 13 points, and she was followed by freshman Gracen Kerr (Ansonia, Conn.) with nine points.
Junior Kyle Felton (Lithonia, Ga.) topped Bridgeport on the glass grabbing nine rebounds.
Micah Wormack led New Haven with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Up next, the UB women's basketball team will travel up Park Ave on Wednesday morning to face Division I Sacred Heart University. Tip-off is set for 11:00 a.m.
