Firebirds Blank Saints 7-0
GERMANTOWN, MD- The University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team finished out a two day conference match weekend in dominating fashion, defeating D'Youville University 7-0. The Firebirds improved to 2-0 in conference while the Saints fell to 0-2.
The Firebirds swept all doubles matches to earn the doubles point, and went on to sweep all single matches. Claudia Bahamon and Célia Bastin had another perfect day, holding their opponents to zero points.
Up next, UDC (4-0, 2-0 ECC) will head to Sparkhill, N.Y. to take on reigning ECC Champions St Thomas Aquinas College on Monday. The match is slated to begin at 2:30 pm.
