Men's Soccer Blanks Molloy University, 4-0

Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team opened its East Coast Conference schedule on Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 blanking of Molloy University at the RVC Sports Complex on Long Island.

STAC remains perfect on the year a 3-0-2 overall and 1-0 in ECC play, while Molloy slips to 1-4-1 and 0-1.

The Spartans tallied goals four second half goals from Nicholas Sadorf (4th), Alejandro Zuniga (3rd) and Uhunoma Fredrick-Ilekhuoba (2nd), while also getting a gift goal off of the foot of a Lions defender.

How it Happened

  • 51st Minute: A pass from midfield by Uhunoma Fredrick-Ilekhuoba found the foot of teammate Nicholas Sadorf, who danced around Molloy keeper Dennis Mejia and put a soft shot to the back of the net to make it 1-0 STAC.
  • 57th Minute: Nicholas Sadorf's cross attempt from right to left, went off the foot of a Lions defender and chipped past Mejia to give the Spartans a 2-0 advantage.
  • 82nd Minute: Off of a Molloy turnover at midfield, a Yahir Hernandez pass to Alejandro Zuniga was blasted from outside the 18 to the top-portion of the net, beating Dennis Mejia to give the maroon and gold a commanding 3-0 lead.
  • 89th Minute: In the closing moments of the match, Uhunoma Fredrick-Ilekhuoba took a pass from Malik McGregor inside the six and fired a shot under a diving Mejia to the back of the net to close the scoring for the Spartans at 4-0.
