Pepper Pike, Ohio - Back on the road for a non-conference match, the D'Youville University women's soccer team came away with a 1-0 win over Ursuline College Tuesday evening.
The Saints (1-3-2) got on the board early in the game as
Jillian Bernas (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) got her first goal of the season in the ninth minute of action. DYU looked to add another goal in the 17th minute but the shot from
Lana McNulty (Temple City, Calif.) was turned away.
Lily Gallagher (Jupiter, Fla.) tried to make it a 2-0 game going into the break but was also turned away.
D'Youville had six shots on goal with
Abby Nowak (Katy, Texas) leading the way with two shots.
Kailie Regan (Holley, N.Y.) was a wall in net, making 11 saves for the clean sheet.
The Saints will be back on the road this Saturday, September 23rd, as they resume conference play when they travel to Roberts Wesleyan University for a 1 p.m. start.
