Firebirds Trampled by Chargers

HILLBURN, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's women's lacrosse team fell to Dominican College, Saturday afternoon, at the DU Athletics Field. The Firebirds fell to 1-2 on the season while the Chargers improved to 1-1.

Freshman Natalia Perkins had a game-high seven saves and team-high three ground balls. Alejandra Lainez-Rodriguez  won a team-high three draw controls and Michelle Mitchell took the Firebirds only shot of the day.

UDC was plagued by turnovers (26) and was outshot by the Chargers 33-1. They were also edged in draw controls 8-11.

Up Next, UDC (1-2, 0-0 ECC) will host Edinboro in their first home agame of the season at Georgetown Day School. Tip-off is set for noon.
