Changes Announced for ECC Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships

Cental Islip, N.Y. – In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the East Coast Conference has announced more changes to its Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships.
All semifinals will now take place on Friday, November 2 and the finals will be held on Sunday, November 4.

LIU Post, the top seed in both the men’s and women’s bracket, will not be able to host on their campus. Their games will move to Golden Lions Field on the campus of Dowling College. Bridgeport’s men’s and women’s teams, the No. 2 seed in both brackets will host their semifinals as scheduled.

The championship games will be held at either Bridgeport or Dowling College depending on the outcome of Friday’s semifinals. If both the men’s and women’s finals are at one site, game times will be 12:00 and 2:30 pm. If the sites are split, kick-off of the championship match will be at 12:00 pm.

Power may not be available at all sites so the ECC cannot guarantee live stats or live video for all tournament games. Please check back on www.eccsports.org for further updates.
