Molloy President Drew Bogner has been elected as chair of the Division II Presidents Council. Bogner, who replaces Stephen Jordan from Metropolitan State, will begin a one-year, renewable term as chair after the 2010 Convention.

Bogner, whose term on the Council extends through the 2012 Convention, has been the president at Molloy since July 2000. Enrollment has grown at unprecedented levels during Bogner's tenure, and Molloy added five acres of land to accommodate new athletics fields. Bogner is also the host of the television show "Next Generation on Telecare."

Before coming to Molloy, Bogner was executive vice president for academic affairs at Newman, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He also served at Newman as dean of community education, chair of the Institute for Teacher Education, professor of education and professor of biology.

Bogner earned a Ph.D. in philosophy and history of education from Kansas.
