Central Islip, NY - On Sunday, April 19 local children gathered at the C.W. Post campus in Brookville, NY for a day of fitness and fun with student-athletes at the inaugural ECC Fitness Challenge.

Student-athletes from ECC institutions joined forces to help teach children ages 5-12 from across the island the importance of fitness and healthy living.  With stations entitled "Coconut Kick-off" and "Simon Says Kickboxing," the event was focused on teaching aspects of fitness while engaging children in enjoyable activities.

Healthy lunches were provided by Subway and Aramark and all attendees were invited to stop by the softball field after the event to watch the C.W. Post Pioneers host the Adelphi Panthers in ECC softball action.
